The objective of the project ZETH ‘Zusammen Entwickeln – Technology and positive Health.’ is to jointly develop the healthcare education system across borders, by jointly implementing innovations in the existing healthcare courses at MBO and HBO level. This will create more attractive education, fill more study places, involve practitioners even more and make innovations in education and care more sustainable. An innovative aspect of this project is that pupils/students learn about technology adoption, prevention and positive health (healthy functioning of clients) and lifelong development. This gives a major boost to the cross-border cooperation between 10 educational and healthcare institutions MBO and HBO to create preventive, integral, inclusive and positive health in the Ems-Dollard Region. The ZETH project runs from 1 June 2023 to 1 June 2027. Within this project, 500 students, 97 teachers, 20 employers and 97 informal carers are active. New educational materials and activities are being implemented in existing generalist care courses and continuing education activities. Thanks to integration into existing curricula, no problems with recognition and accreditation arise. Research Objective The objective of the ZETH project is the joint cross-border development of the care education system, by jointly implementing innovations in the existing care education programmes at MBO and HBO level. Impact To create cross-border impact on the three themes of technology adoption, prevention and positive health (healthy functioning of clients) and lifelong development, both qualitative and quantitative questions are further investigated in the project. For all three themes, the initial situation of those involved will first be identified: what is the current level of knowledge and competence? Based on this, educational and train-the-trainer material will be developed and implemented. During the project, the participants will be followed to map the knowledge and competence development. Thesis How can we offer education to students and supervisors across borders in the Netherlands and Germany? Education in which they learn to use technology for a healthier lifestyle for themselves, patients and carers. Research results Cross-border education (joint hybrid assignments) for 500 students. Knowledge sessions for buddy organisation Netherlands and Germany, based on conditions of reciprocity. Workshop facilitators from organisations in the Netherlands and Germany. Valorisation This results in: articles and media attention for the target groups supervisors and middle management. And scientific articles for researchers.
