Dates & deadlines

You can submit a project application to the Germany-Netherlands Interreg programme at any time, as this programme does not work with calls.

However, there are different assessment rounds that follow a fixed schedule (see overview below).

After the fully completed application has been officially submitted to the programme via InterDB, it will first be checked and discussed in terms of content and finances.

After this review process, the project is submitted to the programme-wide (for priorities 1 and 2) or regional steering committees (for priorities 3 and 4).

The responsible regional partners (ministries, provinces, etc.) are represented in the steering committees and decide jointly on the projects submitted. Since the funding is largely public money - i.e. tax money - the Interreg projects submitted are monitored and examined very intensively. This means that the path from a project idea to an approved application can take some time.
