Klasse!

Klasse! puts neighbour language and culture education (BTCO) into practice in the border region. Although schools recognise the added value of neighbour language education, they experience structural bottlenecks such as a lack of time, expertise and sustainable cooperation partners across the border. Klasse! breaks through these barriers by providing concrete support to schools with ready-to-use teaching packages and activities that are offered through workshops at school and can easily be adopted by schools themselves. In collaboration with NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, the University of Münster, the University of Oldenburg, the University of Groningen and the Eems Dollard Region, Klasse! offers practice-oriented BTCO teaching materials, targeted BTCO professionalisation of teachers and sustainable cross-border connections, including student contacts and excursions. Through practice-oriented research at the participating colleges and universities, the developed building blocks and materials are continuously tested for effectiveness and added value in educational practice, ensuring that the activities deliver demonstrable, scientifically substantiated learning outcomes and go beyond incidental or non-committal exchanges.
