This project continues the findings, results and knowledge network from the INTERREG V A-project Healthy Building Network. The potential of healthy buildings, joined with themes such as energy transition and circularity is seen and recognised as a grwoing future market. The themes of health, healthy living and working environment become increasingly important (partly due to the Corona pandemic). Through scientific research and the sharing of the knowledge developed within the border region, more and more companies from the construction sector in the region can be inspired to build and renovate more healthy, and, orient their economic activities innovatively and sustainably towards the future.
This ‘second’ project phase aims at the following goals: At least 25 concrete initiatives (via LOI) support the themes of health and well-being in buildings. This covers several factors, such as indoor air quality, temperature, acoustics, light, etc. The results of this process will be continuously communicated by the project via events, website and social media. In addition, the project proactively establishes connections with other actors in the Dutch-German border area (investors, producers, service providers, institutions , governments and other subsidy projects).
In addition to the above aspects, the HBM project aims at delivering the following results, among others:
- Preparation of guidelines for Healthy Buildings (Healthscore ansd QuickScan)
- LOIs with investors and manufacturers and service providers (26)
- Opportunity map – “The Matchmaker”
- Policy recommendations, based on SWOT analysis,
- New scientific knowledge
- Fact sheets
- Expert pools (to promote innovations)
- Positioning of the border region as an innovation region in the field of healthy building.
The HBM project runs until the end of 2026.
