Often, it is not large pieces of equipment<br \/>\nthat are lacking, but small yet vital components such as adapters that connect<br \/>\nventilators to tubes. If such a part fails, a patient cannot be ventilated.<br \/>\nSmaller hospitals are particularly affected, as they have fewer stocks. These<br \/>\nproblems affect both Germany and the Netherlands. Differences in procedures<br \/>\nmeant that mutual assistance took time, which is something that is in short<br \/>\nsupply during crises.<br \/>\nThe<br \/>\nResilientIS project ensures that hospitals in the Germany-Netherlands border<br \/>\nregion are reliably supplied even in times of crisis. To this end, a network is<br \/>\nbeing established in which hospitals, universities, businesses and public<br \/>\nauthorities work together. Together, the key components are identified and<br \/>\nstandardised templates created so that these can be produced on-site under<br \/>\nlocation-specific conditions in the event of shortages. Hospitals can thus<br \/>\nproduce a tested replacement part themselves within hours, rather than<br \/>\nwaiting weeks for deliveries.<br \/>\nTrials are<br \/>\nbeing conducted in selected clinics to test how the procedures can be applied<br \/>\nin day-to-day operations and in the event of a crisis. Training ensures that<br \/>\nthe knowledge is disseminated and does not remain confined to individual<br \/>\nsites. This creates a resilient network. German and Dutch partners jointly<br \/>\ndevelop and apply rules, share capacities and access the same data, without<br \/>\nreplacing each other’s respective responsibilities for production and<br \/>\napplication.<br \/>\nThis means<br \/>\nthat rural facilities can respond as quickly as large centres. Treatments<br \/>\nremain predictable, patients are not transferred unnecessarily, and healthcare<br \/>\nprovision becomes more stable across the entire Germany-Netherlands border<br \/>\nregion. ResilientIS creates structures that have a lasting impact and make a<br \/>\ndirect contribution to a more resilient healthcare system in Germany and the<br \/>\nNetherlands.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"parent":0,"template":"","pr-category":[278],"pr-priority":[289],"pr-stat":[254],"class_list":["post-44245","projects","type-projects","status-publish","hentry","pr-category-health-care-3","pr-priority-work-together-for-a-connected-border-area","pr-stat-new"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/44245","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/projects"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=44245"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"pr-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pr-category?post=44245"},{"taxonomy":"pr-priority","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pr-priority?post=44245"},{"taxonomy":"pr-stat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pr-stat?post=44245"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
