Hear!<br \/>\nShakespeare project is designed to develop a new concept of theatre with the<br \/>\nfollowing emphasis: participation of Dutch and German residents of the border<br \/>\nregion and cross-border inclusion in the cultural sector. <br \/>\nThe aim is to bring<br \/>\npeople from both countries into contact with each other in<br \/>\ncross-border<br \/>\nstorytelling workshops, resulting in an exchange of personal experiences. The<br \/>\nstories from the workshops are incorporated into classic Shakespearean theatre<br \/>\nplays. Some of the workshop participants take part in these plays and tell<br \/>\ntheir own stories. This creates a new, contemporary form of professional<br \/>\ntheatre on location, in which people from both sides of the border get to know<br \/>\neach other and share their stories. The plays are performed in a cross-language<br \/>\nmix and are therefore accessible to everyone. The participatory activities are<br \/>\nalso carried out using a mix of languages. German and Dutch being the main<br \/>\nlanguages alongside the dialect spoken in the border region. The project places<br \/>\na special focus on the inclusion of people with blindness and visual<br \/>\nimpairments and on improving barrier-free cultural participation for this<br \/>\ntarget group. A German\/Dutch team of people with blindness and visual<br \/>\nimpairments (King’s Council) examines and advises on digital, practical and<br \/>\nsocio-cultural accessibility. The team accompanies the process of preparation<br \/>\nand rehearsals, communication and all aspects of visiting a performance. The<br \/>\nconcept of inclusion and participation pursued by the project will result in<br \/>\nfour new performances on location: three indoor productions under the title ‘Winter<br \/>\nTales’ and one ‘Summer Tales’ as an open-air production. During the project,<br \/>\nfour symposia on inclusion and participation (in the cultural sector) will be<br \/>\norganized for Dutch and German professionals from the cultural and social<br \/>\nsectors throughout the Interreg programm area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"parent":0,"template":"","pr-category":[276],"pr-priority":[290],"pr-stat":[254],"class_list":["post-43227","projects","type-projects","status-publish","hentry","pr-category-other","pr-priority-a-europe-closer-to-the-citizens-in-the-border-area","pr-stat-new"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/43227","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/projects"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=43227"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"pr-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pr-category?post=43227"},{"taxonomy":"pr-priority","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pr-priority?post=43227"},{"taxonomy":"pr-stat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pr-stat?post=43227"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
