Regional.<\/span><br \/>\nThe [Re]value project aims to<br \/>\ndevelop high-quality yarns by combining regional hemp, sheep wool, and recycled<br \/>\nwool in a unique way. These innovative yarns are biodegradable, self-cleaning,<br \/>\nand highly durable, making them particularly suitable for home textiles. Within<br \/>\nthe project, they are processed into pilot products such as carpets, upholstery<br \/>\nfabrics, curtains, and acoustic panels.<br \/>\nBut [Re]value goes beyond<br \/>\nmaterial development: An industrial process chain is being established to bring<br \/>\nthese pilot yarns and products to market, contributing to the sustainable<br \/>\ntransformation of the textile industry. By utilizing recycled materials and regional<br \/>\nsupply chains, CO&#8322; emissions are reduced, while unused sheep wool is put to<br \/>\ngood use. This strengthens local sheep farmers, helps preserve cultural<br \/>\nheritage, and promotes a functioning circular economy.<br \/>\nWith [Re]value, the cross-border<br \/>\nregion is positioning itself as a pioneer in sustainable textile circularity,<br \/>\noffering a groundbreaking alternative for the textile industry. Given the<br \/>\ngrowing awareness of sustainability and the potential of hemp cultivation and<br \/>\nsheep farming in Germany and the Netherlands, the market prospects are<br \/>\npromising.<br \/>\nA multidisciplinary team oversees<br \/>\nthe entire value chain &ndash; from yarn development to product commercialization.<br \/>\nPromising spinning trials are currently proceeding at Spinning Jenny B.V. and<br \/>\nHochschule Niederrhein.
