This enables<br \/>\ngraduates to work in both countries, which also corresponds to regional policy<br \/>\nguidelines, such as the Grenzlandagenda NRW-Niederlande 2022. To achieve this<br \/>\ngoal, young people need to experience that there are many opportunities across<br \/>\nthe border. We want to ensure this by further developing and implementing<br \/>\neuregional Kenniswerkplaatsen (EKWs).<br \/>\nAn EKW is a meeting<br \/>\nplatform for vocational school teachers, students, companies and knowledge<br \/>\ninstitutions from Germany and the Netherlands. There is one EKW per sector,<br \/>\nwhere participants exchange information about innovations and promote<br \/>\neuregional learning and working. The focus is on identifying Euregional skills<br \/>\nsuch as company culture, language and specific technical content in the<br \/>\nneighbouring country. Subsequently, the Euregional skills are integrated into<br \/>\nthe education, for example through &ldquo;didaktische Jahrespl&auml;ne&rdquo; and &ldquo;keuzedelen&rdquo;. Companies<br \/>\nplay a key role in this process. The companies know best which skills the graduates<br \/>\nfrom the neighbouring country need to have. The apprentices also play an active<br \/>\nrole: in binational teams, they carry out exercises in order to acquire the<br \/>\ndesired skills in terms of language, work culture and professional content in<br \/>\npractice.<br \/>\nThe EKW project is a<br \/>\npartially open project. That is why, in addition to the core schools, many<br \/>\nother schools and companies are involved in the specific exchange activities<br \/>\nand in the further development of Euregional vocational training in the EKWs.<br \/>\nMore than sixty German-Dutch exchanges have already taken place as part of the<br \/>\nEKW project, from which around 1,800 vocational students have benefited. Cultural<br \/>\nand social aspects have always been just as important as technical subjects.<br \/>\nFor example, German and Dutch metal technology apprentices visited the<br \/>\nproduction of Johma Salades in Losser together, and the cosmetics classes found<br \/>\nout about trends and innovations at the BEAUTY trade fair in D&uuml;sseldorf.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"parent":0,"template":"","pr-category":[274],"pr-priority":[289],"pr-stat":[254,254],"class_list":["post-37864","projects","type-projects","status-publish","hentry","pr-category-integration-education-and-labor-market","pr-priority-work-together-for-a-connected-border-area","pr-stat-new"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/37864","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/projects"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=37864"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"pr-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pr-category?post=37864"},{"taxonomy":"pr-priority","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pr-priority?post=37864"},{"taxonomy":"pr-stat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/deutschland-nederland.eu\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pr-stat?post=37864"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
