Deutschland-Nederland Kontaktlo(o)s Laden

The project “Kontaktlo(o)s Laden” aims to develop and subsequently demonstrate innovative products and services around inductive charging systems for electric vehicles.
In the project 11 (SME) companies, supported by 3 governments, are working on the development of different demonstrators with different capacities.

The system for capacities up to 30kW is being tested in a pilot for autonomous transport at the Zernike complex in Groningen. The system for capacities up to 3 kW will be combined with a smart monitoring and tracking system. The implementation aimed at the eBike will be built into a bicycle parking and tested during (cross-border) cycling events in Drenthe and Emsland. The system with the Drymer tricycle will be tested in practice at the Emsland Moormuseum.

With its approach, the project contributes to the acceptance of electric transport. Participating companies see the development of products as an opportunity for the future. Innovative is the application of contactless charging in autonomous vehicles. The application in bicycle subsystems is – as far as is known – unique. Non-contact charging makes new business models possible. The participating companies see opportunities for future turnover in this project.
The project potentially contributes to more employment in the region and -indirectly- to better public transport and a lower environmental impact.

The 32-month project has a budget of € 1,893,815. Of this amount, € 727,491 will be contributed by the 14 partners.
